Wisdom or Whim

All my life growing up my dad would say to me. Amber if you want to catch a good man you need to look where good men are. He had this phrase "if you want to catch a trout fish in fresh clear river water. But if you want to catch a carp.. fish in murky pond water."  Bottom line if you want a good man you have to look where good men hang.. no at the club or bar where not so great men hang out.

College in the Fall

It is just about a month till school starts again. I am so excited to see what I can learn. I am taking 15 credits while working part time too, it should be a jam-packed semester.  So many things have happened in my life these last few months and I have learned a lot.  I remind myself that although my "life lessons" aren't always fun or easy they are to make me a better person. Ever lesson we learn in life is to add to our experiences so that we can use those experiences to help other people. When you think of the hard things in that light it almost makes them more bearable.

Just remember that everything happens for a reason ....

Mani & Pedi w/Friends

I had an AMAZING day with friends this past Friday. My girls and I went to a place that was really nice . We had chair messages, foot soaks, and of course all our nails painted really pretty colors. I have NEVER had a manicure or a pedicure before and I'm pretty sure I'm slightly addicted :)  I think It will be a treat every now and then in my life for sure. 

We also went to Starbucks and got coffee, I got a frapp thingy and it was REALLY yummy... but Of course the caffeine kept me awake till ALL hours of the night I have to wake up in the morning at 5 am to work 10 hours at my job..

Thank You GIRLS for a wonderful day  of "us" time .

New Beginnings

Life is full of new beginnings, full of fresh starts and new faces.  We are people who don't like change, however sometimes change is the best thing to happen to us.  As I start this new journey of following my dreams I sometimes wonder why I ever threw them to the side. I realized that changing your whole life plan for a man is completely silly, of course I learned this lesson the hard way as usual.  Heart break is one of the most emotionally painful things a person can go through, this is where you must make a choice to accept it and become better from the experience. Realize that Its NOT about you, life is about surrender always surrender. You must surrender your ideas and dreams to God and trust that if he steers your path away from a guy you think you love, TRUST HIM !!! God is WAY smarter than you and HE truly wants the very best and most beautiful for you !   Although I am still hurting and wondering why my heart feels like its in 9 thousand pieces I am at peace, because I am God's little princess and I know that God has a plan that is WAY bigger than I could imagine for me.

Moral of the story even though something hurts it doesn't mean its bad, even though you feel like your life is over, its really just beginning !

TRUST GOD !! You are growing and getting stronger as each lesson is learned.
